Sweden Week with IKEA 2022 in Fukuoka

Kyushu University hosted MIRAI 2.0 annual conference Research & Innovation Week 2022 at their Ito Campus, and also conducted a satellite event titled “Sweden Week with IKEA 2022” there in collaboration with IKEA Fukuoka Shingu store. This event was planned to make students deepen their understanding of studying abroad and SDGs.

The event venue was decorated with IKEA furniture and posters, and a tasting experience of sustainable food “Plant Ball” was provided. The Embassy of Sweden in Tokyo cooperated to provide their guidebooks introducing the charms of Sweden at the venue. The event was held four days between November 15th and 18th 2022, and total attendees were approximately 970 students! This opportunity was one of the good cases for MIRAI to promote student mobility between two countries.
